After hosting the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) online for 2 years due to covid, the festival will now be celebrated physically this year in Melbourne. Director Anurag Kashyap and lead actress Taapsee Pannu will be traveling to the Australia as their upcoming Hindi psychological thriller film Dobaaraa will be the opening night film at IFFM 2022. 

Sharing his excitement Kashyap said, “Excited to be showcasing our film and being elected as the opening night film for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. I have previously been to IFFM and have firsthand seen the unison with which Indian films and film from the subcontinent are celebrated and showcased with much vigor. 'Dobaaraa' is a special film for me as a filmmaker and I'm looking forward to showcasing it at this platform.”

Dobaaraa is the official Hindi remake of 2018 Spanish movie 'Mirage' and also stars Pavail Gulati. It will release worldwide on 19th August 2022.
