Headlined by Mihir Ahuja and Mona Singh, the film is a story of Agastya the 19-year-old math prodigy essayed by Mihir Ahuja who firmly believes that any problem or situation can be resolved with logic and equations. Driven by this idea, Maa Ka Sum or the ‘Project Mom’ launched is a mission to find the perfect partner for his single mother Vinita portrayed by Mona Singh. What unfolds in the delightful film is the journey where his calculated formulas collide with the unpredictable human emotions. 

The story takes an interesting twist with the entry of Ira, a mysterious math profession played by Angira Dhar. She joins Agastya in building an algorithm to find the ideal match. However, the emotions begin to interfere and Agastya’s formulas that he believes in firmly goes unstructured proving that love always doesn’t follow logic.  It is also an emotional attachment. 

Maa Ka Sum is directed by Nicholas Kharkongor and story script written by Ravinder Randhawa and Sumrit Shahi. The film explores relationships through the lens of young mind that gives importance to data gathered rather than the feelings. A mindset that is unconventional.

Maa Ka Sum promises to be a perfect blend of humor, warmth and an emotional story telling with depth. A son’s pure love and desire to see his mother settled while he navigated with vulnerability when his mother Mona Singh essaying the role of his mother Vinita is deeply layered character in the film navigates when she rediscovers love.  Mihir Ahuja has highlighted the emotional core of the story. 

Starring in the film are also the chef Ranveer Brar and Mona Singh. The series is expected to premiere on April 3rd on Prime Video will be released in Hindi and in multiple regional languages.
