Well known Marathi actor Pradeep Patwardhan passed away on Tuesday morning at his Girgaon residence in Mumbai. The actor who has been honored with the Akhil Bharatiya Natya Parishad Award, has brought immense focus on Marathi cinema over the years. 

The late Patwardhan was known for the Marathi play Moruchi Mavshi. He has also been part of popular Marathi films like Navra Mazha Navsacha, Lau Ka Laath among many others. All India Radio announced the veteran’s demise on Twitter. 

Patwardhan was also part of films like Ek Full Chaar Half' (1991), 'Dance Party' (1995), 'Mee Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy' (2009) and 'Gola Berij' (2012), among others.
