Vidya Balan Is Set To Make Her Big Tamil Debut In Jailer 2 Alongside Superstar Rajnikanth

Rajnikant starrer Jailer was a massive hit at the box office grossing around Rs. .605 to 650 crores worldwide. Jailer which was directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar was one of the biggest films ever made in Kollywood. After the grand success of the film, it is officially been announced that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be joining in the star cast for the sequel, Jailer 2 .

Vidya Balan recently had singed for the film and was very impressed by the script. She has an important strong character and a major turning point in the film. Her presence is surely going to add the intensity to the sequel Jailer 2.

Makers plan theatrical release in 2026

The makers have planned a grand theatrical release on the 14th August 2026.The aim to encash the weekend holiday for Independence Day Discussions are on that it was also the month when Jailer part 1 was released in August which had garnered a high record at the box office success.

With a powerful star cast as Vidya Balan and Rajnikanth, the expectation is much higher for Jailer 2 and is shaping up to be bigger and more explosive than Jailer .

Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 will reprise Rajnikanth with his iconic role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian .A cameo appearance in the film by Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty will be an added appeal to the audience.
