Anushka Sharma’s ‘Chakda Xpress’ is the most awaited sports biopic film after the Indian women’s cricket team became world champions at this year’s World Cup held in India. ‘Chakda Xpress’ will finally see the light of day, and the hopes are on the makers who have reportedly written to the studio behind it.

Netflix, if convinced, will finally have the actress on board in a film after 7 years, marking Anushka Sharma’s comeback. The filmmakers have, at a personal level, written to the top executives of Netflix India to see if they can rise above the conflict and let the film be made.

The biopic on the legend like Jhulan Goswami deserves to reach the audience.

After shelving the movie that was conceived as a biopic of the female cricketer Jhulan Goswami, many were very disappointed. The movie is based on her life, and the makers mentioned Jhulan Di deserves to reach our audience, said the makers.

The reason for the movie to be shelved was that the ‘Chakda Xpress’ creatives were revealed, and the production house went over the budget. Also the platform head didn’t like the way the project was picking up and shaping to be different. One of the team members mentioned how the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 has changed the tide for the much-awaited film.  However, the recent victory changed the dynamics on the biopic, which has revealed the talks are on once again, and the team is expected to take the final pass this month if it can be released after some additional work.

The cricketer was herself seen celebrating with the winning squad after the players had lifted their trophy.  Previously the Indian women’s cricket team had come close to winning the World Cup twice but had not succeeded, and finally this was the winning moment; the team brought the trophy home, which was no less than a festive moment in India.

Anushka Sharma was so powerful and absolutely stunning in the much-awaited movie, ‘Chakda Express,’ and gave her best as always but was shocked by the shelving reports.
