Adinath Kothare’s Look As Daulat Deshmane In Chandramukhi Unveiled

Actor Adinath Kothare was last seen in the 2018 Marathi film Take Care Good Night. Apart from making his Bollywood debut in 83, the actor has been away from acting in Marathi cinema. Now after nearly 4 years, the multi-talented actor will be seen in Prasad Oak’s upcoming political drama Chandramukhi. He is essaying the lead role of Daulat Deshmane in the film. Makers have unveiled his look and it is captivating. 

Speaking of working with director Prasad Oak for the first time, Addinath said, “Prasad, since he is a fantastic actor himself, understands the actor’s language and working with him was a real pleasure. The last time we worked together was for my father’s film Full 3 Dhamaal, in which he was acting and I was an assistant director.” 

Explaining on how and why he decided to do the role, the Zapatlela 2 actor said, “In July 2021, I was in the process of signing a few Marathi films then. Prasad and I met and he narrated the story, which is based on Vishwas Patil’s novel by the same name. The moment he was done, I told him I was on board. I left the three other projects that I was going to do, to be part of this film because this was the kind of role I was waiting for. I play a politician in Chandramukhi.”

Addinath’s directorial Paani recently won the National Award. Talking about the same he concluded, “While we are exploring when to release Paani theatrically, the experience of directing the film and acting in it was life-changing for me, not just as an artiste, but as a person as well. It exposed me to some many things that have had a lasting impact on me.”
