Behind The Scenes Of 'Sam Bahadur' Meghana Gulzar's Cinematic Tribute To Sam Manekshaw's Leadership

Based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw 'Sam Bahadur' was released in theatres on December 1, 2023. Directed by ace director Meghana Gulzar Sam Bahadur stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.

While talking about the making of the movie Meghana shared that the movie is majorly based on the time of Sam Manekshaw's life when he was appointed the commandant of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. The team of the movie got the privilege of getting shot in the same locations where all the real incidents happened. Meghana also shared how grateful they are that they got a chance to experience everything in a very raw and real way. 

Vicky Kaushal also got a chance to sit in an original car of Sam. Vicky also shared his feelings about the same. The same seat of the car on which Sam used to sit Vicky got a chance of experiencing that. He was also accompanied by the driver Charles who used to drive Sam. Vicky said, 'During the pre-production of this film I was told that we are getting the same car which Sam used to drive in. The first time I got to sit in this car, it was just magical it threw me off the character more than getting me into the character because I just couldn't believe that I was sitting in his car on the very seat that he used to sit in.'

Sam Bahadur is an inspiring tale of the brave of all. The movie is currently running in theatres. Along with Vicky Kaushal movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and Neeraj Kabi.
