Faraaz Trailer Out: Hansal Mehta's Film Gives The Peeks Of 2016 Terror Attack On Dhaka Cafe

On Monday, January 16, director Hansal Mehta dropped the trailer for his much-awaited movie Faraaz. Along with Zahaan Kapoor, Aditya Rawal, Juhi Babbar, and Aamir Ali, the action thriller is produced by Anubhav Sinha and directed by Mehta. The movie is based on the actual terrorist attack that occurred in a Dhaka cafe in 2016. When terrorists seize control of the cafe, the brief footage opens with several people seated inside. Faraaz will hit the theaters on February 3. 

Meanwhile, the film launched at the BFI London Film Festival last year to a remarkable reception with sold-out presentations. The film's global premiere, starring Aditya Rawal and debutant Zahaan Kapoor, took place at London's famous Curzon Cinema in Soho. The events of the night of July 1, 2016, in Dhaka, where five teenage militants ransacked the posh cafe and held more than 50 people hostage for nearly 12 agonizing hours, will be chronicled by Faraaz.

Producing Faraaz under the auspices of Benaras Mediaworks, T-Series, and Mahana Films are Kumar and Sinha, Sakshi Bhatt, Sahil Saigal, and Mazahir Mandsaurwala. Along with Kapoor and Rawal, other important actors in the movie include Juhi Babbar, Aamir Ali, Pallak Lalwani, Sachin Lalwani, and Reshham Sahaani in pivotal roles.
