Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh Trailer: Rajkumar Santoshi’s Film Visualizes The History
After sharing a teaser of Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh, now the makers today dropped the trailer from Rajkumar Santoshi's film. The trailer presents a compelling glimpse into the terrifying period following India's Partition when racial unrest brought a young nation to its knees. The movie also shows us an alternative reality in which Mahatma Gandhi escaped Nathuram Godse's gunshots and began to change the man who had attempted to kill him through discussion and a smile.
Actors Chinmay Mandlekar and Deepak Antani portray Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi, respectively, and there is an amazing likeness between the two. Tanisha, the daughter of Rajkumar Santoshi and Anuj Saini, makes her acting debut in Gandhi Godse. The trailer depicts how Mahatma Gandhi, who constantly promoted peace and non-violence, smiles and shakes hands with a furious and vengeful Godse after having been shot by him.
The conflict between ideologies and beliefs then ensues. Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and BR Ambedkar are three other historical figures that are introduced to us in the trailer. The film is produced by Manila Santoshi and is distributed by Santoshi Productions LLP. The soundtrack for the movie is provided by renowned composer AR Rahman. The movie will hit theatres on January 26 and compete with Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, which was scheduled to open a day earlier on January 25.
