Jayeshbhai Jordaar- Ranveer Singh Shows Freestyle Moves In The Film’s First Song ‘Firecracker’

Ranveer Singh has gone all out in the very first song ‘Firecracker’ of his most awaited film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The actor was apparently instructed to dance as his character would and was provided no choreography at all! You can see the 83 actor dancing his heart out in all spontaneity and he seems to be having fun. The saree clad village women and children in the background are in sync with their steps but Singh has his own freestyle dance! 

Speaking about ‘Firecracker’, Ranveer had earlier said, “Firecracker is a vibe. Maneesh was very clear. Divyang was very clear that, look, you've performed the entire character now; you've gone through the entire graph, the journey of the character. Now the character's yours, you've made it your own so we won't choreograph it! You just freestyle, in character, as Jayesh would.”

The Gully Boy actor added, “Barring the hook step, I was just left to be and to dance the way Jayesh would dance. Being in character, the moves would just come out, stumble out of me and we captured that. It has its own appeal. Jayesh is an endearing character and it's that aspect of him that he wanted to present and showcase in the song. Just the great joie de vivre that he possesses, this great love of life, this joyous, beaming grateful heart that he has.”

Directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar, and produced by Maneesh Sharma, Jayeshbhai Jordaar also stars Shalini Pandey of Arjun Reddy fame, making her Bollywood debut. It also stars Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah and will hit cinema halls on 13th May 2022.
