Kangana Ranaut started her career with director Anurag Basu’s Gangster which was a critically acclaimed superhit and a game changer for the actress. Ever since then she has considered him his mentor and worked with again in Life in a Metro, which was also a big hit.
The Queen actress was approached by the Jagga Jasoos director for his latest film, Imali, however Kangana couldn’t give a positive reply since she was working on the completion of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The actress was unable to give him any dates and had to refuse and she regrets it as per reports.
The actress in a statement clarified that she would have loved to work with her mentor again but that will have to wait since she is about to announce her own directorial venture and needs all her time invested there.
