Mukesh Khanna Starrer TV Show 'Shaktimaan' To Be Adapted Into A Film By Sony Pictures

Known to be one of the most iconic TV shows of it’s time, Shaktimaan was India’s first very own superhero. Actor Mukesh Khanna who essayed the titular role gained immense fame and love from children and elders alike. The show that had a successful run from 1997 till 2005 is all set to make a comeback in a feature film adaptation. Sony Pictures India who is backing the film announced on its official Twitter page, “After the super success of our many superhero films in India and all over the globe, it's time for our desi Superhero.” 

 

Along with the above announcement, Sony also shared a teaser of the film. The face of the lead is yet to be revealed. The glasses of Shaktimaan’s alter ego ‘Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastriji’ is also showed floating in the video. Looks like the film will a massive entertainer.
