BHAROSA (2022)

This short story is about Honesty, faith and Patience. Once a business man on his way to work decided to stop by a temple to offer prayers. He asks his driver to stop near a temple .Upon reaching the temple, as he is entering he comes across an old man weeping. He goes upto him and asks why he is weeping? The man tells him that he has no job, no money and he has a daughter to get married off. The business man hands him over his pair of footwear and tells him to take care of it, he will go inside the temple, pray and return. Inside the temple as the businessman is praying he thinks he must help this old man. He wants to remove his misery and decides he will give him 2 lakhs to take care of his daughter’s marriage as well as his life will improve. So he has made up his mind, he finishes his prayers and comes out to collect his footwear and convey to the old man of his good intentions. When he reaches the exit where he had left the man with his footwear, he is not there. He looks around the temple premises for him but he is nowhere. Dejected he comes to the car bare feet feeling sorry. On the other hand, the old man is so poor he thinks if he sells the footwear he may get Rs.2000 and with that thought he runs away with the shoes. Not knowing that if he had waited patiently he would have got Rs. 2 lakhs instead of Rs. 2000. He had not only robbed the businessman, which is not good, for someone who had trust in him by leaving his shoes to take care of and his patience would have given him a lot more. So sometimes we need to think and not take hasty decisions that would ruin our life our future.
