Dil Dariya (1988)

The major conflict could be described as an ongoing conflict between two families. Due to the difficult atmospheric conditions present in Punjab, the relationship between two closest friends who are also neighbours and who belong to different religious communities—Hindu and Sikh—becomes strict and tense. The plot was original and slightly different from the usual romantic story. Perhaps only the serials at that time featured the pressure from the family and the rural setting.
