Ek Raja Ek Rani (1996)

The 1940s are the setting for Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani. After resisting the British for six years, Ranaji returned to Ameerkot in 1945. Gayatri is the wealthy zamindar's daughter, although she is regarded as Manglik (inauspicious by birth). In contrast, Rana Indravadhan Singh (Ranaji), the monarch of Amerkot, is traumatised as a result of the death of his first wife, Rani Sulakshana. Rajmata Priyamvada, Ranaji's mother, offers Ranaji's hand in marriage since she owes Gayatri's father money. Ranaji marries Gayatri against her will. Gayatri and Ranaji gradually become close after their marriage. Family members including Badi Rani Maa, a lady posing as Sulakshana, Avdhesh, Rageshowri, and others pose difficulties.
