Grihasti (2008)

The Khurana family is the inspiration for Grihasti. The ladies understand they need to work together in order to prosper in their male-dominated society after the passing of the family patriarch, Balraaj. The women grow more independent as a result of this and destiny. The transformation in their lives demonstrates the value of different female roles in society, including that of wife, daughter, grandmother, and sister. It is made clear that Simar's husband, Rishi, is having an affair with Priya, his secretary. Simar is beginning to have second thoughts.
