Rich and eccentric widower Rai Bahadur Dr. Durga Das Khanna (Saeed Jaffery) marries Kirron Kher, who is 30 years younger than him, and gives her a rare diamond necklace in exchange for caring for his young children. Years later, two professional burglars named Lizzie (Sushmita Mukherjee) and Junior Gomez (Liliput) find themselves at Mrs. Khanna's Mushaira-impersonating poetry competition at their opulent mansion Shanti Kunj.
