Badal and Suman start on a rough note, but soon fall in love with each other. Being from different castes their love is prohibited not just by their families but also frowned upon by the society. The young lovers however want to change this narrow mindset of people and change the thinking of their own family first. The show depicts the struggles and challenges Suman and Badal go through to keep their love afloat amidst serious tension in both families.
