Traditional Punjabi girl Kesar (Nandini Singh) resides in a village with her vast extended family. She receives a marriage proposal from the affluent Maliya family who reside in a large city. Kesar marries the Maliyas' son Rudra (Nikhil Arya). She makes an effort to adapt to her new family's affluent metropolitan lifestyle.
