The life of Ghatotkatch, Hidimbaa, Barbareek, the aftermath of the war, Arjuna's numerous marriages, Karna's marriage to Padmavati and his son, Vrishketu, and the period of grief following the war are all topics covered in this series that were not covered in the original programme. The story's Ashwamedha yagna, in which Arjuna's son Babruvahana, prince of Manipur, battles Arjuna and Vrishketu when the yagna's horse reaches Manipur, is also featured in the television show. Arjun and Vrishketu are killed during the conflict. But Krishna brings them both back to life, and everyone enjoys a happy ending.
