Saath Nibhana Saathiya (2010)

Saath Nibhana Saathiya is a romantic family drama series which sparks light on the Modi family, focusing upon the evolution of Gopi, a simple and innocent girl, and her relationship with her ambitious yet manipulative sister-in-law Rashi and strict mother-in-law named Kokila Modi. Gopi marries her beloved son, Ahem Modi, a successful entrepreneur but a detached husband.Throughout its first season, Gopi faces surreal hardships to prove her value in which she overcomes innumerous difficulties which include her sister-in-law’s jealous and deceitful behaviour towards her. However, her pure heart and unconditional love subtly starts to calm his inherent attitude, and then he suddenly starts to recognize her true value. Over a period of time, she gains immense confidence and subtly changes the family’s perception towards her, especially Kokila, who starts to recognize his strength.The story is then carried forward in its second season, deeply explores into the evolving relations within the Modi family, alongside the several difficulties which suddenly arise as Gopi explores her responsibilities and strives to protect her loved ones from Rashi’s unmatched jealousy. Meanwhile, the love story of Jigar and Rashi further becomes very rigid, as Jigar is totally shattered between his love for his family and the feelings which he had developed for Rashi.
