Saathii Re (2006)

This is the tale of Suman, a young woman. Unbeknownst to her parents, Suman is having an affair with a boy named Prem. Suman's parents are on the lookout for a boy. One day, a family arrives with Suman's engagement proposal from their son Rajeev. Suman declines the offer, but Rajeev develops feelings for her. Suman is forced to cut off her relationship with Prem and accept the marriage by her parents. Rajeev and Suman soon fall in love, and they marry. Prem returns after experiencing difficulties in their marriage. When Suman refuses to continue the romance, Prem rapes her despite his best efforts to persuade her that she still loves him. Suman's sister opposes her and backs Prem after telling Rajeev about the information.
