Siyaasat (2014)

The major focus of Siyaasat is Mehrunissa's transformation into Nur Jahan. It is set during the reign of Akbar, the Emperor of the Mughals. The conflict amongst the princes over who will inherit the kingdom and the romance between Salim and Mehrunissa are the two main themes of the programme. The politics in the harem between Jagat Gosaini, Ruqaiya Sultan Begum, and other women, the rivals of Akbar like Malik Amber, Chand Bibi, and Rana Pratap, and the political unrest in Akbar's court between Abul Fazl, Mirza Ghias Beg, and Abdul Rahim Khan are some of the other noteworthy aspects of the show. -I-Khana
