Amitabh Bachchan's Dance, Romance And Stunts Entertainment Package 'Suhaag'

We welcome you to one more episode on Amitabh Bachchan’s film Suhaag released in 1979. An action drama film directed by Manmohan Desai and the story is written by Kader Khan, Prayag Raj and K K Shukla. The film starring Shashi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha and Parveen Babi in the lead roles.  Starring also in the film are Nirupa Roy, Amjad Khan and Kader Khan as supporting roles with Jeevan and Ranjeet in the negative roles. The music for this film is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the film became one of the highest grossing film which was a remake of a Telugu Film.

The songs were so popular that till date they have remained in the minds of the audience. Vikram Kapoor essayed by Amjad Khan and his wife Durga essayed by Nirupa Roy have been married for many years but Vikram has taken to crime in a big way and as a result Jaggi the gangster essayed by Kader Khan has been his biggest rival. When Durga gives birth to twins, Jaggi steals one of them and sell the new born baby to a bootlegger.  Durga is devastated at her son going missing and also Vikram abandons her.  With great difficult she raises her other son who is with her Kishan (Shashi Kapoor) to become a police inspector, while Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) who has been kidnapped and given away to the bootlegger becomes a petty criminal and an alcoholic.    The two brothers come face to face due to his crime . On the other hand Vikram is not aware that his wife has given birth to two sons and is still alive. 


The film has a strong moral that good triumphs over the evil despite all odd.  The film ends on a happy note with the brothers reuniting. Here we end another episode on the journey by Amitabh Bachchan in films.
