In a country like India, getting married, and at the same time getting divorced is a big deal. Originally, the other major part of this B-Town, Bollywood, thinks otherwise! Here is a list of some of your most famous bollywood stars, who never believed in the concept that you will only find love once in your life, and be married twice or more! Going through a divorce? Feeling blue about it? Not to worry! These Bollywood celebrities make getting divorced look like a piece of cake! 

1. Sanjay Dutt 

The ‘Khalnayak’ of Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt has lived his life to the fullest. His entire life has been no less than a bollywood blockbuster, it is full of action, drama, a thriller with a dark past, and at the same time, romance! His friend, and an amazing filmmaker Raju Hirani, has made a movie (Sanju) on his life, where Ranbir Kapoor played his character, and nailed it fantastically. 

Also known as Baba, Baba first planned to settle down in the year 1991, to a fellow, talented actress Richa Sharma. Unfortunately, in the year 1996, Richa sadly passed away due to a brain tumour. Baba again tied the knot with model Rhea Pillai, but they divorced later in 2005. Third time the charm; Dutt finally found his wife, as he fell in love with Manyata and married her in the year 2008. 

2. Karan Singh Grover

Well, another one who has recently joined this club is the model-actor Karan Singh Grover. Nowadays, one of the most popular couples Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu give the ‘relationship goals’ vibes to everyone, but did you have a clue that this is Karan Singh Grover’s third marriage? Yes, it’s true! Their happy occasion took place 7 years ago, on the 30th of April, 2016. Some other interesting facts about this marriage is that KSG is even three years younger than Bipasha. 

Before marrying the popular TV actress Jenifer Winget (2012-14), who is also his Dill Mill Gayye co-star, Karan had primarily married a TV star Shraddha Nigam in the year 2008, whom he had divorced within the first 10 months of their marriage.

The ‘Bachna hai Haseeno’ star has also had some fun of her own! Before settling down with Karan, she has also dated one of the biggest superstars in the footballing world- Cristiano Ronaldo! 

3. Saif Ali Khan

The Nawab of Bollywood, the 10th Nawab of the state of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan fell in love with a senior actress Amrita Singh, before he gained fame in the Bollywood Industry. Saif and Amrita got married in the year 1991, even before his debut film Parampara (1993) was released. Sadly, they both parted their ways, and got divorced later in the year 2004.

Things later on got interesting in Saif Ali Khan’s life, when Kareena Kapoor Khan ditched chocolaty and hottie Shahid Kapoor for this hunk, and after 4-5 years of affairs, they finally got married in 2012.

4. Aamir Khan

Before entering and becoming just another bollywood sensation, Aamir Khan had married his teenage love, his high school sweetheart Reena Dutta, in the year 1986. However, they got divorced later in 2002. When the 1988 Bollywood movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak was released, which made Aamir a huge star overnight, while he was performing as a child artist in his early life. 

When Aamir Khan was shooting for the all-time favourite Hindi movie Lagaan in the year 2001, he had fallen in love with his assistant director Kiran Rao, which led to both of them deciding to get married in the following years. They sadly parted their ways by getting divorced in 2021.

5. Boney kapoor

Belonging to one of the biggest talents in Bollywood history, Boney Kapoor is the father of Janhavi, Khushi and the handsome hunk Arjun Kapoor, and is also one of the biggest producers in the history of Bollywood. 

In his early life, Boney Ji was married to Mona Shourie for 13 years (years 1983 to 1996) and he has two talented children, Arjun Kapoor (born 1985) and Anshula (born in 1990) with Mona. After his divorce with Mona in 1996, Kapoor married an Indian legend, actress Sridevi on the 2nd of June 1996. In the later stages of their married life, Sridevi sadly passed away in the year 2018.

6. Kiran kher 

The famous reality TV show ‘India’s Got Talent’ Judge Kirron Anupam Kher, also known as Kiran or Kiron, is a veteran actor, a television actor, singer, entertainment producer, and also a member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP).

In her early life, Kirron Kher was happily married to Gautam Berry in the year 1976. As the years had gone by, after being married for 9 years, Gautam and Kirron decided to part ways, and get divorced later in the year 1985. In the same year, Kirron Kher tied the knot with the acting legend Anupam Kher. They have been going strong ever since, and they have also celebrated their 38th marriage anniversary thia year in the month of August. 

7. Siddharth Roy Kapur

As we all know, Siddharth Roy Kapur is not an actor, he is the head of UTV Motion Pictures, and he has enough fame and connections in B-Town to keep his name popping up everyday! Siddharth settled down with the most beautiful, talented, Bhool Bhulaiya’s star, Vidya Balan, in style. Their Punjabi-Tamilian mix wedding in 2012 had left everyone in awe! Siddharth’s first wife had been his childhood sweetheart Aarti Bajaj, who he had divorced. In the following year, his second marriage was to a television producer Kavita, from whom he had also separated in 2011. 

8. Anurrag kashyap

The legendary director of one of the classic cult movies, Anurag Kashyap was first married to a famous film editor Aarti Bajaj. Anurag and Aarti had a beautiful daughter together, Aaliyah Kashyap. Unfortunately they sadly filed for divorce in 2009. Even though his movies are tilting towards a darker side than usual, his romantic life has always been colourful! His life has always been a heck of a roller coaster, just like his story lines. As he has been married twice, he says “Even at 90, I’ll be in love.”

In the later stages of his life, he also tied the matrimonial knot with the talented actress Kalki Koechlin, whom he had first met during Dev D,in Ooty. Even though his movies have been a bit too dark, he is, and will always be regarded as a humble and down-to-earth person by the women in his life.

9. Aditya chopra

Born on the 21st of May, 1971, legendary Aditya Chopra is an Indian Filmmaker, Film Distributor, Film Writer, Producer, and much more. Not a lot of people were aware about this, but yes! Aditya had first gotten married in the year 2001, to Payal Khanna. However, even though going strong for 8 years, they decided to call it quits, and filed for divorce in the year 2009. 

In the following years, Aditya had tied the matrimonial knot with Rani Mujherjee in 2014!.  Rani Mukherjee & Aditya Chopra have always been maintaining a private-personal life, preferring to keep their relationship reserved. Their wedding celebrations had taken place in Italy, on the 21st of April, 2014. 

10. Dharmendra

Dharmendra Ji! Yes, of course. A politician, and a talented father and to the two even more talented sons, Sunny paaji and Bobby paaji, Dharmendra Ji first married when he was just 19 years of age! He was married to Parkash Kaur in 1954. 

After he had gained the maximum amount of fame in the Bollywood industry, he had fallen hopelessly in love with another legend, Hema Malini Ji! The dream girl, and the Padma Bhushan winner had finally gotten married in the year 1979, in the later stages of their lives. Another interesting fact about his love life is that Dharmendra had converted himself to Islam, so that he could stay married to both of his wives!

Getting married, and staying so, is altogether a different ball game.
