Do You Know After Shakti Kapoor Had Hit Feroz Khan’s Mercedes And What Had Happened After That?

Feroz Khan was one of the most handsome film actors of Indian Cinema. He was not just an actor but also a successful producer and director too.  His films like Dharmatma, Qurbani, Janbaaz, Yalgaar were all super hit films.  His film had the uniqueness as they were mostly shot on foreign locations.  His films had huge sets and he would cast only top stars and would have very catchy song numbers that would appeal to the public.   As most of his films were successful, many young aspiring artists who joined the film industry were very keen to work with him under his home production. 

Shakti Kapoor was also one among them who was interested to work with Feroz Khan but he wasn’t getting an opportunity to meet him despite several attempts. At last one day during Shakti Kapoor’s struggling days and he was desperately looking for work and was going from one studio to another, he got to know that Feroz Khan is in Mumbai and Shakti Kapoor landed in his office F.K International but he could still not meet Feroz Khan but Shakti Kapoor did not lose hopes and he kept visiting Feroz Khan’s office.

One day when Shakti Kapoor was in his old 1961 Fiat car, in an attempt to overtake he slightly hit Feroz Khan’s Car.  He was furious and he got off from his car to yell and was left speechless as the man behind the wheels in the Mercedes was none other than Feroz Khan . He profusely apologized and was also worried that this may further hamper his hopes of getting a role in Feroz Khan’s film. He scolded Shakti Kapoor for his mistake but God had other plans for Shakti Kapoor. Feroz Khan liked Shakti Kapoor’s personality and immediately decided to cast him as a villain in the film. He told his film writer Prayagraj that he definitely wanted to cast him as a villain in his film Qurbani. Incidentally Prayagraj and Shakti Kapoor were friends and had known each other.  They both had met in a restaurant for a  drink. Shakti Kapoor happened to narrate the incident to Prayagraj that he had committed a grave mistake by hitting Feroz Khan’s Mercedes and he had to hear mouthful from Feroz Khan.  Prayagraj upon hearing Shakti Kapoor’s story started laughing loudly and he told him that  Feroz Khan is very happy to have met him and that he had liked  his personality and was keen to cast Shakti Kapoor in his next film Qurbani as the villain and that Khan was in fact waiting to meet him.  Hearing this Shakti Kapoor could not believe his luck and his happiness knew no boundaries. He was ecstatic.  Prayagraj told him go and meet Feroz Khan. In this way Shakti Kapoor’s got his first break and he went to become one of the most popular villain and he did many roles thereafter in many films.
