Evergreen Mahima Chaudhry made debut alongside Shah Rukh Khan with Subhash Ghai’s Pardes
released in 1997. Since then she has worked in many blockbusters movies
including Dhadkan, Lajja, Sehar, and Baghban. Being brilliant at acting lot of
opportunities came her way and she always proved her talent by making the best
out of those opportunities.
Now, after a gap of 15 years, Mahima Chaudhry is all set for her comeback with Gajendra Ahire’s “The Signature” which also features Anupam Kher. She will also be seen playing role of cultural activist and writer Pupul Jayakar in Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency.
Dada Saheb Phalke Film Foundation Awards 2023 which was held on 20th
of May in Mumbai; was attended by talented and beautiful Mahima Chaudhry. She
was invited to accept an award for her inspiring lifestory.
Mahima Chaudhry is someone who has been through a lot in her personal
life and career. In 1999 Mahima me with a terrible accident which turnesd her
life upside down. Recalling her near to death experience in recent interview
she shared about undergoing a surgery where 67 pieces of glass were removed
from her body. After surviving such horrifying accident she thought her careeer
is over now as no one will give her any work after all the surgeries she went
through. But she cameback stronger and held her ground strong in the industry.
In 2020 Mahima’s life hit rock bottom when she got diagnosed with
breast cancer. Her life came to lowest of point. She fought the battel of
cancer for four months and fortunately survieved. Talking about her cancer
recovering journey she said I wasn’t very brave, used to cry all the time’.
During her treatment she found an inspiration among other patients who were
going through same sitiuations her. She pull her self up and decided to fight
with cancer and after fighting her battle with cancer she was declared cancerfree.
Her lifestory is motivating for each and everyone who is going through or been through tough times in their lives. Standing up again after falling down is not easy as it seems. People like her deserves an appreciation for setting up an example and Dada Saheb Phalke Film Foundation presenting an award of Inspiring Actor Of The Year was an excellent initiative taken by an organization.
