Satte Pe Satta 1982 The Inspiring Journey Of Seven Brothers And True Love

Satte Pe Satta a 1982 film is a dual role by Amitabh Bachchan. Directed by Raj N Sippy, Music score is by Gulshan Bawra and R D Burman and is produced by Romu N Sippy. 

A story of 7 brothers is derived faintly from the film ‘Seven Brides for the Seven Brothers’. Ater the death of the parents, the seven brothers are left to tend to themselves and Ravi Anand the eldest of the seven brothers becomes their guardian. Ravi is in love with a nurse whom he marries and brings home. But the uncivilized brothers create a ruckus in their marriage and she sets out to improve them and puts in all her efforts to civilize them. But their uncouth ways finally end up with them changing when they start realizing it themselves.

The film was shot in Kashmir and the story revolves around the farm owned by Ravi and his seven brothers. Amitabh Bachchan is seen in the film in dual role, one as the eldest sibling Ravi and the other role is as Babu a look alike of Ravi is hired to kill Seema a rich young woman. Babu kidnaps Ravi and goes in his place to the farm where Seema has been kidnapped by the six brothers among many other women they kidnap for fun. Babu who is set to kill Seema falls in love with her. The story ends with Ravi returning to his home to his wife and gets his 6 brothers married off as they have now changed their ways and are refined.  Babu and Seema find their love. 

A much-loved film by the audience, series of hilarious scenes and comedies the film went on to become a super hit. Amitabh Bachchan in both roles as Ravi and Babu does fantastic.
