The horror comedy film of the year Affraa Taffri released everywhere in Gujarat on 14th February, 2020. The lead actress Khushi Shah has debuted in the movie and in her first; she has played three different characters on screen.
Khushi is receiving love after performing triple roles in her first flick. She played Sonal, Jwala and the ghost and she nailed all the three roles. Khushi shared her experiences and said, “This was an amazing experience. I feel lucky for getting a chance to play three different roles in my first feature film. I personally love to watch horror films and I am glad that I could get a chance of working in a horror comedy. Gujarati audience loves comedy films. To be producing and releasing a different genre like horror and receiving love for the same is not easy here.” She also pulled it off to her social media account and wrote, “This is a gratitude post as I’m really feeling overwhelmed and grateful for a lot of things which are beyond expression but lemme try…. As a child I had always dreamt of being an actress and see myself on the big screen. As I expressed this wish to my father, he also started dreaming the same for me. Time went by, the aspirations became stronger and I started getting closer to my dreams with hell loads of hard work. But this was still farfetched. I knew the day had to come but what I didn’t know was that my father won’t be around to see this day. And that broke my heart.
But even after he was gone, I still carried his and my dream in the anticipation that I will make him proud one day. And then after 14 years of struggle, hard work, blood and sweat, came the D day. On 14th of Feb 2020, my film Affraa Taffri released. I saw myself on 70mm for the first time. I wished for my father to be there, sitting by my side, holding my hand to witness his and my dream coming true. I wished my father to tell me that I finally made him proud. But I know this for a fact, that wherever he is, he is very happy, celebrating and showering all his blessings upon me.
I wish that I continue to make him happy and when I meet him up there one day, he could tell me in person that I did make him proud.
This one is for you papa. I love you. I miss you”
First Guajarati horror comedy is well accepted by the audience and it is also doing well on box office. On the work front, Khushi is enjoying her success for a time being and shortly, will start shooting for her next.
