Biography
Abhay Verma is known
for his role in the second season, serial, The Family Man. He did his debut
role in Safed which marked a new beginning his film career. The Family Man is a 2021, as a supporting
role while his first independent role was in the 2023 film Safed. He further got his breakthrough, in the
comedy horror film, Muniya released in 2024 which went on to be a commercial
success. A lot of credit for the film
has been given to Abhay Verma in this supernatural horror comedy film. It had released on June 7th
2024. The film had received an overall appreciation on the internet as the film
did moderate business, but his acting was the spotlight of the film that had
caught attention from everyone.
Abhay Verma’s curly
haired actor who played the lead character named Bittu in the film succeeded in
getting the audience hooked to the screen by his on-screen chemistry. His
female lead was Sharvari Wagh who also received quite a bit of appreciation for
the role she essayed as both looked great and natural on the screen, though
they were working for the first time together.
Abhay’s upcoming
projects include, ‘King’ starring along with the famous Shah Rukh Khan. He
also has signed films like ‘Layka Layki’ which is a new age action-drama film directed by Saurabh Gupta. He will
be starring opposite Rasha Thadani. He
will also be starring along with Shanya Kapoor in a film directed by Shujaat
Saudagar which is said to be a romantic drama. Besides these films, Abhay Verma
has television project and a film Muniya which released in June 2024.
Abhay Verma began his career in
films with Marzi and also featured in Little Things. He is also involved with
television commercials. Abhay Verma
revealed that as a junior artist on the sets of Super 30, he earned just Rs.
800/- per day but he got a chance to learn acting extensively by observing
others. Those days he worked along with
200 others daily which was inspiring for the young actor to pursue to greater
achievements in cinema.
Abhay Verma’s role with Manoj
Bajpayee in The Family Man 2, gained him recognition. He plays the role of
Kalyan, a friend of Dhruti essayed by Ashlesha Thakur, who gets involved with
terrorists. In 2023, Abhay Verma made his debut with Safed in
which he has the role of a transgender. Given
his lack of experience and his age he has done a brilliant performance acing
the body language perfectly.
2024 proved lucky for Abhay Verma,
he featured in the biographical drama, Ae Watan Mere Watan which starred Sara
Ali Khan as Usha Mehta. In the same year he also got his break with a role as
the lead character of a terrorist in Muniya. It is the fourth installment of Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. This film Muniya was inspired by Indian
folktales and mythology. His character
was that of a bewildered character. The film emerged as the eight highest
grossing film of 2024.
Not many know that Abhay Verma had
filmed a role portraying the younger version of the India’s Prime Minister,
Shri Narendra Modi, in the film ‘Mann Bairagi’ which was filmed in 2010, but the
film is yet to be released.
