Biography
Yash Raj films were the first to discover Nishant at an event whereby they signed him for a role in the film ‘Mujse Friendship Karoge’ in 2011. He has thereafter appeared in many films such as Titoo MBA, Meri Pyaari Bindu, Kedarnath, Raat Akeli Hai, 83 and Akelli some of which were character roles.
His most recent film is the abusive husband in the film ‘Mrs.’ opposite Sanya Malhotra. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film, ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’ Nishant Dahiya expressed his displeasure of his role of Sanya’s character he plays and despised the way the mentality of husbands due to which he was even hesitant to accept this role, fearing the audience would see him in a negative role as Sanya’s patriarchal husband for which though it’s a negative role, it has gathered significant praise.
He is also remembered for his role of Kamal in Kedarnath alongside Sara Ali Khan whereby he has portrayed the role of a toxic guy who forces Sara Ali Khan to marry him. A character that the audience hated as much as they loved Sushant Singh Rajput in the film.
