Kedarnath is a potent combination of love and religion, of passion and spirituality set on a 14-kilometer pilgrimage from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath - the 2000-year-old holy temple of Lord Shiva. Mansoor, a reserved and reticent porter, helps pilgrims make an arduous journey to the temple town.
Kedarnath the romantic film on disaster directed and co –produced by Abhishek Kapoor features the handsome Sushant Singh Rajput and the very pretty newcomer Sara Ali Khan in the leading role. A story of an inter-faith love story between the wealthy Hindu Girl and a humble Muslim boy. The girl’s family owns a lodge near the historic Kedarnath Temple in the Uttarakhand.
Their love relationship however is being objected and the young couple face many obstacles from the family’s disapproval. The film is also based on the true story of 2013 Uttarakhand floods and the devastated region and taken this natural calamity as the base in the story, the film moves on to show the couple survive against all odds and elements which ultimately proves the test of their love.
Kedarnath is produced by Ronnie Screwvala for RSVP Movies and Abhishek Kapoor for Sky Pictures along with Pragya Kapoor and Abhishek Nayyar. The script is co-written by Kapoor and Kanika Dhillon. Released on 7th December 2018, the film received mixed reviews and positive reviews on Sara Ali Khan’s debutant entry in Bollywood.
