Aandhiyan (1990)

Dushyant and Shakuntala are in love and want to get married, however the latter is from a poor household, whereas the former is a wealthy man’s son. Thus the alliance is a tough one as Dushyant’s father does not agree to the marriage. Never the less they marry and his father creates misunderstandings between the husband and wife. Things go from bad to worse for the two and they decide to separate after a few years of having children. Years later it is up to Shakuntala and Dushyant’s children to try and bring their parents back together. The film is directed by David Dhawan and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the lyrics are written by Anjaan. The star cast includes Shatrughan Sinha, Mumtaz, Prasanjit and Om Shivpuri.
