Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai is one of the upcoming movies of the comedy-drama genre. This new film is a scathing, political satire of one season at a time, set in Haryana's unstable coalition landscape, telling a volatile story of a sudden death in the legacy of family politics, and rival pretenders looking to fill that political void. The film starts with the murder of a prominent heir to the Ahlawat political legacy, a fierce and local political family murder.

This triggers a fierce race for power and crazy, needless violent interaction, corrupt policies - backroom deals - (some even perfectly described by Kunal Sharma's expertly integrated deliveries) from corrupted siblings and rival factions. Double-dealing occurs, and the current patriarch, Mahavir Ahlawat, is seeking to preserve a legacy while his grandson Virat attempts to develop his own brand of no-nonsense politics, exposing all the worst of the rot in that political legacy.

A new class of politicians will develop under different circumstances, as the series depicts razor-sharp dialogue and regional authenticity, digging down into nepotism, vendettas and the next generation of leadership in a democracy seeking to demolish the old ways of damaging democracy and into elitism and graft.

It employs the use of central characters like Pankaj Tripathi's aquarious politician and Richa Chadha's ‘Softie’ savvy street smart sex-worker in a playfully darkly humorous way, to offer rough and vigorous penetrating commentary on questions of power, patronage, and hypocritical society as a whole in common. Strong and varied ensemble cast, achieving a short and powerful commentary on Indian politics as a force, the film deals effectively with the absurdity, but persistence and ambiguity to society and power leaps, perhaps as a finality as to what we can achieve in contemporary politics.
