Prem, played by Ranbir Kapoor, is a happy go luck boy who is very helpful and helps one of his friends elope with his girlfriend. At the same time he happens to meet Jenny, played by Katrina Kaif and falls in love with her. He realizes that they both stammer when emotional, initially Jenny thinks he is mocking her but eventually learns the truth. Just when he is about to confess his love to Jenny, she tells him that she loves Rahul and wants to marry him.
Prem meets Rahul and sees how much he loves Jenny and hides his own feelings. He helps them both to elope but Rahul’s and Jenny’s parents disapprove the marriage and a heartbroken Jenny takes Prem’s help. He convinces Rahul’s parents to let Jenny hide in their house but the police catch them and she lies to them saying Prem and her are actually a couple to save Rahul’s name. Eventually Jenny realizes that Prem has helped her selflessly and is her true love. They both eventually get married.
The movie is written, directed and produced by Rajkumar Santoshi. The music is composed by Pritam and the singers include Javed Ali, Atif Aslam, Soham Chakraborty and Sunidhi Chauhan.
