"All In All Azhagu Raja" is a 2013 Tamil romantic comedy film directed and written by M. Rajesh. The film has Karthi playing double roles with Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal. It is about a cable TV owner who mocks a failed singer repeatedly before falling in love with her, not knowing that their families have had a bitter past that jeopardises their relationship.
Azhagu Raja (Karthi) owns a small cable channel named "Triple A" in Tenkasi with his friend Kalyanam (Santhanam). The channel never picks up despite their hard work. Raja gets introduced to Priya (Kajal Aggarwal) at a wedding when her unconventional singing annoys him, and they have a comical fight. Priya confesses that she does not succeed at anything, including suicide, which appeals to Raja's sympathy. They become close friends and later fall in love. But once the news is informed to his father, Muthukrishnan (Prabhu), it reminds him of the painful past experiences, particularly with Priya's dad, Kandhaswamy (Aadukalam Naren).
Long ago, Muthukrishnan was an employee of Burma Ramaswamy (Nassar), who had hired him through his buddy Kali. Ramaswamy's daughter Meenakshi (Radhika Apte), Raja's future wife, falls in love with Muthukrishnan. Ramaswamy is impressed with the former's work performance and hence promotes him. But jealousy compels Kali to fill Ramaswamy and Muthukrishnan with misunderstandings, and there is a huge rift. This earlier conflict between the two families is the primary setback to Raja and Priya's romance. Raja subsequently discovers all this and attempts to reconcile the two families. Finally, the truth comes out, and Kalyanam, the son of Kali, admits that the rift was caused by his father's jealousy. The families reconcile and bless the couple.
The film tries to mix romance, comedy, and family drama, but its execution falls short. While Karthi’s comic timing and Santhanam’s humour provide some relief, the story lacks freshness and feels dragged in parts. The flashback episode in the 1980s adds some colour, but overall the film relies on outdated jokes and predictable twists. Though it boasts a star cast, "All In All Azhagu Raja" does not leave an impression and hence becomes a forgettable experience for the average viewer.
