Begaanaa (1986)

Anand lives with his widower dad and sister Asha. Anand is a brilliant dancer and wins all his college competitions, which angers his rival Rama. Soon it is revealed that Asha is in love with Rama’s brother Vinod. Their marriage is arranged and everything seems to go well until Rama, Vinod and his aunt start demanding dowry money from Asha and mentally torture her. Anand somehow manages to get money but their greed only keep increasing. Vinod now starts to create a rift between Asha and Anand and keeps them away. When the latter’s father passes away, he manages to get a new motorcycle from him. One fateful day Anand dies in a road mishap. But turns out he is still alive and rescued by a smuggler named Kailashnath. He then changes his identity. He then seduces Rama and marries her and is all set to take revenge from Vinod. The film is directed by Ambrish Sangal and produced by S S Shivdasani. The music is composed by Anu Malik and the story is written by Mushtaq Jalili. The star cast includes Dharamendra, Kumar Gaurav, Rati Agnihotri, Arun Bakshi, Mohan Choti, Amrish Puri, Raj Kiran and Aruna Irani.
