Sameer, played by Shahid Kapoor aspires to be a Bollywood actor but so far has had no luck with getting a decent audition or even a commercial. He continues working as a courier boy to make ends meet. He is fed up with the same old routine and wants his life to have some excitement and a job he loves doing. One day while he is practicing his dance moves, a movie director spots him and offers him a role in his movie. Sameer cannot believe his luck and is very excited. He sleeps in his car and at night he works as a dance teacher. His friend Tina, played by Genelia D’Souza who is selected as a choreographer for the movie cannot see Sameer living like this.
Unfortunately Sameer loses out the movie as well and becomes disillusioned in life. He is slowly losing hope when Tina tells him to participate in a talent hunt contest to win the role in the movie. He signs up for it feeling a little anxious if he will win or not. However as fate would have it, he wins the contest and is selected as the hero of the movie, walking the red carpet after a few months.
The movie is directed by Ken Ghosh and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The music is composed by Adnan Sami and Pritam.
