"Chennaiyil Oru Naal" is a Tamil thriller movie directed by Shaheed Kader and produced by Sumarlin, starring R. Sarathkumar, Chetan, and Prasanna. It is a remake of the Malayalam movie Traffic. The movie narrates the emotional tale of a brain-dead young man's heart, which needs to be flown 150 kilometres to save a girl who needs an urgent transplant.

The movie starts on 16 September. Gautham Krishna (Prakash Raj), a movie star, is thrilled about the release of his movie. Traffic policeman Satyamoorthy (Cheran) is back at work after suspension. Dr. Robin (Prasanna) is enjoying his wedding anniversary day, and new TV reporter Karthik starts off his career. But then comes the tragedy as Karthik and his friend Ajmal have a terrible accident at a road junction. Karthik is pronounced brain-dead, but his heart is still alive. Around the same time, Gautham's daughter Ria is in Vellore and needs a heart transplant in a hurry. Finally, after considering a lot of reluctance, Karthik's parents consent to donating his heart, on the suggestion of Ajmal and Aditi, Karthik's girlfriend.

Then, however, the heart has to be driven from Chennai to Vellore, 150 km away, in less than two hours during rush hour. Having no helicopters at its disposal, the task is entrusted to Commissioner Sundarapandian, who entrusts Satyamoorthy with the road transport. Satyamoorthy, Robin, and Ajmal race against time, with obstacles, confusion, and a split second when they are cut off from the control room. With all the odds against them, they manage to deliver the heart on time, saving Ria's life while Karthik's body is ready to be cremated.

"Chennaiyil Oru Naal" is an intense and emotional thriller that keeps the audience on their toes right from the beginning to the end. The film incorporates action, drama, and actual emotions, with good performances by the cast. It also conveys a clear message regarding organ donation and humanity. The speedy narration, good editing, and intense background score make this movie a well-crafted, introspective watch that stands out for its content and emotional value.
