Gair (1999)

Vijay, played by Ajay Devgn is an illegitimate child who loses both parents. He stands on his own feet and becomes a well-known and wealthy industrialist and takes care of the Oberoi business. Mr. Oberoi has given all the strings and responsibilities to Vijay as he trusts him completely and treats him like his own biological son. This doesn’t go down well with the rest of the Oberoi clan, as they resent his decision and want Vijay out of their way. Incidentally Vijay falls in love with Judge Amarnath’s daughter Madhu and wants to marry her. Unfortunately Oberoi’s biological son Raja also falls for Madhu but soon learn that Vijay has already proposed marriage to her family. This infuriates them and they try to breed hatred in Amarnath’s mind by telling him Vijay is an illegitimate child. Vijay has to not only fight for his love but also for his honor. The movie is directed by Ashok Gaikwad and produced by Prakash Chitralaya. The star cast includes Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal, Ajinkya Deo, Kiran Kumar, Satyen Kappu, Rajesh Puri, Sunil Rege, Anil Nagrath, Achyut Potdar, Reena Roy, Sulbha Deshpande and Guddi Maruti.
