The Story revolves around the life of Gauri (played by Madhubala)- A Sweet girl living with her Father- Laxmandas (played by Nasir Hussain)- A Retired Army Man in the village and she sees a Young man- Ranjeet (played by Sunil Dutt)- A Kind-Hearted man visiting her house. They both start spending time together and fell in love and agree to marry each other.
