Life Partner (2009)

Jeet, played by Govinda is a divorce lawyer and advices all his friends to stay away from marriage because it is disastrous, however he also causes many couples to divorce as that is the means of his living. His friends Karan, played by Fardeen Khan and Bhavesh, played by Tusshar Kapoor are close friends and don’t take his advice, thus getting married in a love and arranged way respectively. Karan gets married to Sanjana who is the pampered and spoilt daughter of a rich businessman, while Bhavesh marries Prachi who is an educated and forward thinking girl, yet respectful of traditions. After their marriage, Karan notices that Sanjana wants ot live life carelessly like before and just have fun and party every night, while he has to do the house work and also go to his office and work. He gets fed up one day and they have a huge argument. Prachi feels claustrophobic in Bhavesh’s over-conservative household, where the women of the house cannot even talk freely, let alone achieve anything. Sanjana and Prachi both end up going back to their father’s house. Eventually Jeet realizes that he has to fix things between his friends and their spouses and bring them back together. The movie is directed by Rumi Jaffrey and produced by Abbas-Mustan and Hussain Burmawala. The music is composed by Sanjoy Chowdhury.
