"Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty" (2023) is a Telugu romantic comedy film, directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla and produced under UV Creations. It stars Anushka Shetty as Anvitha and Naveen Polishetty as Siddhu, the movie introduces a fresh take on modern relationships, parenting, and emotional maturity, interwoven with humor and emotional episodes.

"Anvitha Shetty" is a 30-year-old self-sufficient woman residing in the UK, a successful chef. After her mother's death from cancer, she starts to feel isolated. Disbelieving in love and marriage because of her troubled family history, she plans to become a single mother by way of IUI. But she wants to select her sperm donor personally, someone with whom she feels emotionally comfortable. That is when she encounters "Siddhu" Polishetty, a 25-year-old bubbly stand-up comedian in Hyderabad.

At first, Anvitha comes to Siddhu cautiously, attempting to befriend him before showing him her true purpose. As time goes by, Siddhu falls for her, never knowing what her intentions are. When she finally tells him she wants him only as a sperm donor and not as a life partner, Siddhu is stunned and devastated. After some confusion and strife, Siddhu finally consents to the procedure out of love, even going on a strict fitness regimen to enhance his chances. But Anvitha makes it clear; he cannot be involved once the child is born.

What ensues is an emotional rollercoaster, misunderstandings, and self-discovery. Siddhu finally walks away, but not before stating his wish that the child would understand their father loved the mother truly. Anvitha becomes pregnant and is preparing for single motherhood: until a touching turn of events brings them together again in the hospital, where she identifies Siddhu as the father.

"Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty" is a feel-good romantic comedy with a novel concept. It blends sensitive topics such as IUI, single parenting, and emotional trauma with humor and charm. Naveen Polishetty is at his best with his comic timing, and Anushka Shetty is graceful and down-to-earth in her performance. The movie is refreshing and emotionally satisfying.
