Muqadama (1996)

Captain Ajit is an honest and brave Indian Army officer. He falls in love and gets married to a village girl named Chanchal. They begin their beautiful journey with love and happiness until one day Ajit is called on duty out of town. Two ruthless men take this opportunity to visit Chanchal when she’s home alone. She begs the men to leave but they refuse. She then goes to the police officer Shyam for help. But instead of helping her, he joins in brutally molesting her. Unable to take the pain and humiliation, she commits suicide. When Ajit returns, his wolrd is turned upside down and is inconsolable. Ajit now has only vengeance on his mind for the people to did this to his beloved wife. He manages to kill one of the men and is after the other two. However before he could reach them, the cops arrest him and he is sentenced to death. Ajit manages to escape the prison but his dead body is found the next day, with his face unrecognizable. While the other two culprits are relieved at Ajit’s death, one of them is killed mysteriously and the other one is fearful of his life. The movie is directed and produced by K C Bokadia. The music is composed by Bappi Lahiri and the lyrics are written by Maya Govind and Indeevar. The star cast includes Vinod Khanna, Aditya Pancholi, Tanuja, Varsha Usgaonkar, Zeba, Gulshan Grover, Mahesh Anand, Shiva, Jagdish Raaj, Tiku Talsania, Harish and Guddi Maruti.
