Nartakee is an Emotional-Romantic Family Social Drama Film crafted with excellence by Nitin Bose and written by Dhruva Chatterjee. The Story revolves around the life of Laxmi (played by Nanda)- A Talented Dancer working as Courtesan and under the clutches of Ram PYari (played by Chandrima Bhaduri)- the head of them and her freedom was scraped by her. Professor Nirmal (played by Sunil Dutt)- An Idealist and Nobleman shifts to the village and views the pain of Laxmi and vows to help her for studies and tries to make her life better. Things get complicated- when villagers along with Ram Pyari frames Nirmal as an Outsider and will hurt him- if he helps Laxmi, leading to consequences.
