Synopsis

Parasakthi is an upcoming Tamil-language political historical drama directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Bhaskaran under Dawn Pictures . Inspired by true events, the film is set against the turbulent backdrop of the 1965 Anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu, a defining chapter in the state’s socio-political history. The story chronicles a powerful mass movement that reshaped identity, language, and political consciousness, capturing the emotional intensity and ideological clashes of the era. Through deeply personal journeys intertwined with collective resistance, Parasakthi portrays how ordinary individuals rise to become voices of defiance against imposed authority, sparking a revolution that altered the course of history. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan , Ravi Mohan , Atharvaa , and marks Sreeleela ’s Tamil debut, with an ensemble supporting cast including Dev Ramnath , Prithvi Rajan , Guru Somasundaram , Basil Joseph , Papri Ghosh , and Rana Daggubati . Elevated by G. V. Prakash Kumar ’s evocative music, Ravi K.
