Parineeta is an Emotional-Romantic Musical-Thriller Family drama Film crafted with excellence by Bimal Roy. The Story revolves around the life of Lalita (played by Meena Kumari)- A Sweet and simple girl living with her Uncle- Gurcharan (played by Nasir Hussain) in a middle-class family and she fells in love with Shekhar (played by Manoj Kumar)- A Kind-hearted man living with his wealthy father- Nabin Rai (played by Badri Prasad)- who gave Gurcharan a loan and he failed to repay him.
