Sakka Podu Podu Raja is a drama film by director S. P. Muthuraman. Features Jaishankar, Jayachitra, Fatafat Jayalaxmi and Kamal Haasan. The film is about Raja, a witty and kind-hearted man, who falls in love with a rich girl and challenges the village Zamindar's authority. Using his humour and courage, he fights injustice and wins both love and respect.

Raja, a cheerful and witty young man who lives a modest life with his loving and lively mother. Known for his clever sense of humour and quick thinking, Raja often ends up in funny confrontations with the arrogant Zamindar of the village, creating many light-hearted and comical moments. Raja falls for Rani, the elegant and intelligent daughter of a successful businessman. Her father, though, objects to Raja because of her lower socioeconomic level. Still, Raja is bent on capturing Ranis' heart and demonstrating his value.

Crossroads with the Zamindar, who always makes life difficult, keep happening as he keeps charming, and truthful Rani, winning her over. Soon, Raja finds a Zamindar plan to take advantage of and swindle the people. Raja bravely and intelligently shows the actions of the Zamindars and inspires the people of the community to rise for themselves. The Zamindar is defeated when a last showdown exposes the truth. Rani's father eventually acknowledges their love, noting Raja's courage and compassion. Raja not only wins Rani's hand but also gains the respect of the whole village in the end. Celebrating and uniting mark the upbeat end of the narrative.
