Synopsis

Nikhil aka Nick, played by Saif Ali Khan lives in Australia and works as a head chef in his restaurant. Ambar, played by Preity Zinta works as an RJ, at a local radio station for a show called Salaam Namaste in Australia. Nick who is supposed to do a show on air with Ambar, oversleeps and doesn’t show up. A furious Ambar humiliates him on air. Another meeting is arranged and Nick oversleeps and misses it again. Ambar insults him again on air. Nick meanwhile meets Ambar at a friends wedding but both do not know who they actually are and about their altercation on air. Nick tells Ambar that he is an architect and Ambar tells him that she is a medical student. Both eventually fall in love after learning their real identities and move in together. Their best friends Ron and Cathy marry each other and have marital problems. A few months later Ambar finds out she is pregnant, but Nick isn’t ready for the child. They both start bickering and decide to break up as Ambar still wants to keep the child. They however live in the same house as they have both paid for it. Eventually as the days pass, Nick realizes that he wants the baby too and warms up to the idea by reading books on it. Ambar later gives birth to twins and Nick proposes to her. The movie is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra. The music is composed by Vishal-Shekhar and Salim-Sulaiman.
