Side Heroes is one of the upcoming movie releases of the comedy-drama genre. The plot of this new film follows three childhood friends - played by Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Varun Sharma- who have lost touch for years, and when they do reconnect, they embark on a trip down memory lane, second chances, and self-discovery. These friends, who have always taken their place next to the hero, or simply been part of the ensemble to support the hero, want to now celebrate their unsung stories as Side Heroes. At its heart, the film illustrates the strength of friendship - they ponder childhood wishes, missed opportunities, past grievances, negotiate the chaos of a late-night chat, and ask if they ever really defined happiness, or if they can still find it as they reconnect. Directed by Siddarth Sen & Pankaj Matta, the screenplay blends snappy comedy with heartfelt emotion, while the three leads, having made their name predominantly playing supporting roles, extend their true liveliness and frailty to the shared journey. Side Heroes is one film among the upcoming new releases that characterises itself as a love letter to unsung sidekicks, a new take on the celebration of people who remain behind the hero, quietly holding their share of the story.
